  • Co-Founded a NY based solutions company focused on driving innovation in the NY Education marketplace.
  • Provided focused services on industry specific requirements that included a major Financial Application Services migration, business automation, forms and workflow automation for improving office administration, school operations, student registration and staff on-off boarding processes.
  • Provided executive advisory services to School Administrators and School Boards on emerging IT initiatives to improve data integration requirements, vendor selection and management and performing tactical & strategic Cloud Services and Data Security initiatives.
  • Notable Achievements: Developed strategic partnerships and joint solution services agreements with the NY State’s Regional BOCES Regional Information Centers to co-market and co-deliver services tied to State cooperative funding re-imbursements for qualified service categories. Maintains the 1st Long Island Based AWS Cloud Services APN Partner program certification for the Education Market. Developed a revenue-based equity partner program that allows skilled junior entrepreneurs to co-market and co-deliver solutions to the education market under the management and guidance of SchoolSource Technologies brand and presence in the local community.
SUFFOLK TRANSPORTATION SERVICES – SUFFOLK BUS CORPORATION – BAY SHORE, NEW YORK

  • Joined Suffolk Transportation Services and Suffolk Bus Corporation as an independent Executive Advisor & acting CIO/CTO to the Executive Committee to provide tactical/strategic advice across the front, middle and back-office processing operations of both organizations that service the Yellow School Bus and the Municipal transportation requirements of Suffolk County NY.
  • Created and Co-Chaired a Leveraging Technology Steering Committee that was responsible for understanding, negotiating, and managing expectations and business requirements of key non-technical business unit executives and staff and bi-laterally presenting the business priorities and corresponding value proposition of each initiative of the organization.
  •  Provided the Executive Management Team with key resource and organizational assignments and operational organizational structure improvements with key performance incentives and metrics for evaluations. Responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing the organizations full IT Infrastructure and Software Application Budget across all the operational business units.
  • Developed, architected and implemented the plan for a complete legacy application transformation and replacement project to modernize and Cloud and SaaS enable the company from its original home-grown legacy application and aging IT infrastructure.
  • Successfully, partnered, negotiated, and managed a remote based overseas Development Team from Manila to architect, design, develop and deliver a new integrated cloud-based STS Central Operational Platform that would improve and streamline business operations from front, middle to back-end billing systems and custom application development to satisfy unique operational requirements.
  • Successfully planned and migrated all on-premises infrastructure systems to AWS Cloud Services including the use of AWS Appstream systems, cloud MS Office 365, that enabled full WFH (Work from Home) environment just days before the official pandemic was announced resulting in zero disruption of business and enabled 100 % of the administrative workforce to work remote.
  • Successfully implement key systems that include IT Help Desk, Facilities Management, Fleet Management systems and responsible for managing, curating and negotiating all key and strategic vendor contracts.

  • After the private sale of Merging Technologies to Computer Associates and re-uniting with the CA Executive Management Team for a second tour, I ventured as an independent investor, consulted and provided executive advisory services to a variety of Tech based tech focused companies.
  • Provided executive management services to early, mid-stage, and restructuring companies. This includes the development and execution of business strategy, sales & marketing plans, product strategy and project development plans. In addition, I was responsible for managing strategic alliances, professional services and developing channel partner strategies. Provided direct and indirect operational oversight for technology, sales, marketing, professional services, strategic partners, finance, legal, administration, business development, technical support, and the overall strategic direction of the company.
  • As a board member, I was responsible for reporting the overall business development initiatives, product technology and financial progress of the portfolio company.

  • Served 2 separate tours of employment with Computer Associates and experienced rapid company growth and performed several functions that included, Tour 1 – (Development, Client Services Support, Systems Engineer, Product Champion/Manager, Services Director, Regional Director,) Tour 2 – (VP Services, VP / SVP Services & Global Strategic Channel Management).
  •  Responsible for Development and pre-post-sales Support for all systems management products in the Software portfolio.
  •  Responsible for all global services delivery including client management and resource management for all strategic client implementations and deployments.
  •  Co-managed revenue and budget forecasting for 650 million dollars of annual services revenue.
  •  Directly responsible for negotiating and realizing 150 million dollars of Service revenue through strategic channel partnerships globally.
  •  Provided key management due diligence assistance for strategic targeted acquisitions and partnerships.
  •  Developed and managed a global resource management and recruiting team for the CA Global Services business.
  •  Developed a global service-based channel strategy for the organization.
  •  Originally joined CA as a developer/support engineer working on CA-Sort, CA-Scheduling & CA DASD, and tape management systems. Security Control and Audit products leading to the CA-Unicenter flagship solutions.
MERGING TECHNOLOGIES, A COMPUTER ASSOCIATES GOLD CERTIFIED CHANNEL PARTNER – ISLANDIA, NEW YORK

  • This was my inaugural investment venture leveraging my tenure and executive relationships with Computer Associates as the software industry were in the early stages of developing Channel based distribution strategies.
  • Merging Technologies became Computer Associate’s first Authorized Gold Certified Sales and Services providers for the companies unified systems management UniCenter Platform. Merging Technologies assisted the company in developing and launching a worldwide channel program.
  • Merging Technologies also assisted CA’s development and support team by being early release adopters and independent external Quality Control testers for all new product release levels. This venture was loosely designed as a privately funded and informally supported by CA with co-marketing and co-development funding as part of the developing external channel programs.
  • Merging Technologies was privately merged back into the CA corporate company when the organization began the strategic direction to invest and expand the Global Services business.
JP MORGAN – EMERGING MARKETS – NEW YORK CITY

  • Moonlighting with JP Morgan while operating as a non-exec director of Merging Technologies under a formal full disclosure statement and special approval. Initially was responsible for reviewing and restructuring the IT Security organization’s mission and implementation processes across all the business units. Initiated an internal risk management process that included key business executive stakeholders and gaining an understanding of each business unit’s operational requirements.
  • Provided a business unit specific custom implementation approach for all required and audited security procedures to ensure compliance while sensibly deploying right sized solutions. Authored, developed and created a Business Information Risk Management (BIRM’s) Group internationally and assigned each resource to the Business Units P&L. with the intent to source the right resource in each business unit that will be vested in understanding the full fleet of applications, understanding daily operations and the associated risk levels. This role is still in place today across all of JP Morgan/Chase’s business units.

  •  Moonlighting with Coopers & Lybrand while operating as a non-exec director of Merging Technologies under a formal full disclosure statement and special approval. Supported the creation and development of the IT Assurance Services Practice of the NY office. This was a newly created group that supported the Finance Audit teams of C&L’s largest clients.
  •  Provided IT Audit support and SAS 70 Audit reviews across multiple clients in the Finance, Insurance, Manufacturing, and Retail industries. Reviewed and created audit comments and findings and provided consultative recommendations to improve processing and mitigate operation risk and exposures. Participated in developing, reviewing and maintain repeatable processing procedures to improve client engagements and maximize operational procedures.
